Much like this post (sorry won't happen again) the followup to The Maccabees debut album has seemed to have taken a long time but the South London band are back with a new song release available for free download and a new album. 'No Kind Words' is the first track to be released from the scheduled April release titled 'Wall of Arms' and is a familiar but darker sound to previous album 'Colour It In'. Apparently all other offerings will be much lighter and happier songs but it does seem that the bees have retained their defined sound despite maturing musically.
The art-rockers are touring the UK over the next few weeks and is a must see in my opinion. Head over to themaccabees.co.uk for a free download if you haven't already (last week there was a sample of what I can only describe as a gloriously sweet little tune playing over a photo montage on the site, I have no idea what it was called but I hope that it is on the album!).
